A wonderful way to learn braiding!
The Braiding Board is a classic Montessori material frequently used in educational settings within the practical life skills area.
The main goal is to teach the child how to braid.
Indirect benefits of this activity include the development of:
- concentration and problem-solving skills;
- the ability to follow a sequence;
- coordination and fine motor control;
- independence and self-confidence.
This braiding activity is an excellent example of how one Montessori task can teach and develop various skills. Tactile and visual sensory abilities improve while enhancing fine motor control.
The colorful cords make the learning process fun and efficient. Children learn that braiding happens when blue goes over yellow, then red over blue, and so on.
A wonderful educational toy for preschool-aged children.
